New painting on the go...

I have a day in the studio and no model to work from again. The perennial problem for the figurative artist. So I put this proposition out there: If you would like to be painted by me and are prepared to submit yourself to modelling sessions at your convenience then please let me know. I'm afraid you won't get the painting or any money but I'll buy you lunch and keep you in tea or coffee. We can do this for as long or as short a period as you wish, and there's no pressure to continue at any point.

Think about it.

This video is eight hours compressed into forty seconds.

The eyes have it.

I felt this needed a bit of work on the pop-eye. Odd how making something public just makes you see things you'd been denying. I also love the texture of this painting.

Artist's talks

My work featured in today's Huddersfield Examiner as part of their coverage of an exhibition at Hudds Art Gallery. Note the article at the bottom details a series of artists talks at the gallery. Details can also be found at: http://theartsmarket.blogspot.com/2011/12/announcing-artists-talks-at.html

New pictures

I've just been putting the finishing touches to a couple of oil paintings. I'm sure I'll find other bits to tweak.
